India Study Abroad Fellowships Phd Neuroscience

Are you a young person with a passion for wildlife? Do you want to use your energy and skills to make a difference to biodiversity conservation in India? The Ravi Sankaran Fellowship Program can help. This Phd Neuroscience Program has been set up in memory of the late Dr. Ravi Sankaran who followed up his detailed field studies of wild species with innovative projects to conserve their populations.
The Program funds three major activities:

A Master’s Phd Neuroscience degree at a university abroadAn internship with an organisation abroadA short conservation research or implementation project within India (in a Small Grants program)

What it covers: Fellowship recipients Phd Neuroscience will receive a stipend, travel funds and an amount covering course fees (where relevant). The Small Grants activity provides funding up to a maximum of Rs 200,000 per year.

Selection: Each activity is intended to have an explicit conservation focus, with an emphasis on clear on-ground conservation benefits. Successful Phd Neuroscience applicants will ordinarily hold a Bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) and be below the age of 30 on the on the first of July in the year of application.Phd Neuroscience Applicants must hold Indian nationality and be resident in India at the time of applying.

PhD Neuroscience Studentship in Consumers and Possessions.

The School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment at Nottingham Trent University has an ambitious development strategy that allows us to offer an excellent opportunity for a scholarship for doctoral studies. The scholarships pay UK / EU fees and provide a maintenance bond in connection with the rate of RCUK (£ 13.590 per year for 2011/12) for up to three years.

The need to improve the understanding of human behavior in order to sustainable consumption is easy to see progress, is proof that the design of our possessions and our environment locks into particular forms of behavior.

This is a scholarship with interdisciplinary research, how people use their property and the built environment towards sustainability and the impact on the design practice. A key will be to knowledge in the field of sustainable architecture, sustainable design and sustainable products leads.

Our
previous studies have found evidence of inconsistent behavior of consumers in terms of their influence on the environmental impact of various products. Further research is needed to plan these contradictions and the University of the Sustainable Consumption Research Group present a series of seminars to explain the cross. This will examine the use of buildings, clothing, household goods and vehicles and the factors that could cause them to be used in a sustainable way and to explore the reasons for variations in the behavior of users. Other research at the University proposed a theoretical case for the treatment of the effect of the physical form of products on people's behavior. Open University Research Group (objects, practices, experiences and networks) is running a series of events to be considered by the different perspectives on material and size. The outcome of these two initiatives will form the basis of this science, the change on the understanding of behavior is to be improved per environnementau

The supervisory team will include Professor Tim Cooper, Head of the Sustainable Consumption Research Group, as Director of Studies and Professor Tom Fisher, Head of the OPEN Research Group.

The closing date for applications is midnight Friday 15 April 2011.
